The rock and roll legend would have been 73 today.

Janis Joplin was an American music icon. She played guitar, sang, and gave an electric show to every audience. Her Porsche was painted with psychedelic art. She recorded several albums, both solo and with a band. Her most famous performance was probably the infamous 1969 Woodstock, where she got so drunk and high that it was hard for her to sing.

However, she lost her life at the young age of 27 due to a drug overdose. Her talent was cut short and we'll never know where her career could have gone.
