Summer is here and that sometimes means that families struggle to feed their children.  Amarillo Parks and Recreation would love to help!  They are once again kicking off their free summer lunch program.

Every year Amarillo Parks and Recreation host a summer program for the kids.  It happens at 17 different parks throughout Amarillo.  They offer fun activities and crafts for the kids to participate in.  They also offer a free lunch!

Starting Thursday, June 2nd, kids can come out to one of these parks and enjoy a free lunch Monday-Friday throughout the summer.  Summer lunches are available to all kids 18 and under.  All they have to do is be there by 11am.  Each day they will then sign up for the following day.

This is a great way to keep your kids busy and active throughout the summer.  Kids 5 and older can be dropped off, kids 5 and under must be accompanied by a guardian or babysitter that is 18 or older.

So if you are worried about keeping your kids entertained or fed throughout the summer, worry no more!  The Amarillo Parks and Recreation are here to help you out and make sure your kids have a great summer!
