Awenda Provincial Park is the new project of Michael Hansford, known for emotive indie band Molly Drag. In APP, Hansford is able to explore a variety of sounds and textures without the concern of translating them to a live setting. The release of stress results in some incredibly pristine, beautiful drone that contrasts with his own vocals and the voices of others in sample form. In addition to releasing the album Remain Calm today, he's premiering the video for "White Hills." The music summons the spirit of the place the project is named for: think summer camps spent by trees and bodies of water, taking in the haunting nature of the woods. The video combines the music with quotes from Charles Bukowski, Hansford's voice like white noise over deep string sections and feelings of peace.
