This police department has a new leader.

Devin Suau, a 6-year-old boy with an inoperable rare brain tumor, was recently named chief of police for the day in Framingham, Mass., with the entire force coming together to let him be a cop, from riding in a squad car to being sworn in as the chief.

Last month, Devin's family learned about his condition after they took him to the hospital following a fall while snowboarding. He's been given two years to live.

Since then, a movement to support Devin has taken hold, thanks to the hashtag #whynotdevin, which has caught on beyond the borders of this New England town.

Mom Christine says, "We are hoping for a miracle. Someone has to be first to beat this. Why not Devin?"

Devin's father, James, meanwhile, says, "These kids are not given a very long time once they’re diagnosed. If we don’t do something for Devin, or any other child in this situation, its heartbreaking."

You can do something for Devin and his family, who've set up a GoFundMe page to help with the medical bills.
