You can all stop clutching your pearls: Seth MacFarlane has announced that he will not be returning to host the Oscars next year, but he does have a rather hilarious replacement in mind.

When is a $70 million opening not a success? When its predecessor opened to $75 million four years ago. This is the predicament facing 'Star Trek Into Darkness,' which opened at number one at box office while being something of a disappointment.
When giant monsters rise up from the sea and attack civilization, humanity responds with an army of giant robots.
Though no Hollywood Kickstarter effort has been all that well-received since 'Veronica Mars' controversially utilized the service to launch its long-awaited film, it seems the 'Friday Night Lights' movie may finally happen thanks to the crowd-sourcing website. Producer Brian Grazer insists the movie adaptation of Peter Berg's NBC/DirecTV series -- itself adapted from the original movie adaptation of the same name -- remains in development, with crowd-sourcing as its likely next step.

Dude knows where to put the camera, when the music should swell, when the characters should zing each another or when they should project pathos to the cheap seats. The 'Star Wars' films are mostly gut and little brains and, unfortunately, that is what we have here. The movie still works as an exemplary thrill ride – I laughed, I cried, I cheered – but woe be to anyone who gets caught in a conversation afterwards trying to explain the overly complicated and, at times, silly plot. If you expect something a little sharper out of 'Star Trek' you may come away with some mixed emotions.
