Now you might be thinking, "Arbor Day, isn't that in the Spring."  Well, yes, National Arbor Day is in Spring, usually the last Friday in April.  But, most states celebrate their own Arbor Day, when the climate is right to plant trees in a particular area.  So in Texas, we celebrate Arbor Day, the first Friday in November.

What happens on Arbor Day?  It's a day to celebrate trees.  Whether you plant them, take care of them or hug them, you get to celebrate the tree.

So celebrate Texas Arbor Day with the Amarillo Zoo's Planting for the Planet Event, Saturday, November 5th, 1-3p

Each guest will receive a tree seedling and wildflower seed packet (while supplies last), plus the Zoo will have crafts and activities.  They will also have a ceremonial tree planting to benefit the wildlife habitat.

Cost for the event is just Zoo admission.

Adults: $4

Seniors (62 and up) $3

Children (3-12) $1

Under 2 Free
