Update: Video footage has surfaced of the supposed incident that caused Chino Moreno's foot injury. As you can see in the fan-shot video above, the Deftones singer heads to the front of the stage to elevate himself on a speaker, only to lose his balance and fall into the crowd. Despite the tumble, Moreno continued singing and was able to complete the performance with the band before the extent of his injury was discovered. Though Moreno and the band canceled their Koln, Germany show, as of press time it looks as though the band will perform tonight (May 2) in Paris.

Deftones have an unexpected day off as the band is giving singer Chino Moreno a chance to recover after he suffered a recent injury. According to a posting on the band's social media, the band will not be playing their scheduled show at the Palladium in Koln, Germany this evening (May 1) after Moreno broke the top of his foot.

In their posting, the band states that Moreno needs to stay off his feet for the next day or two, but they add that no other dates are in jeopardy of being canceled as of now. The group is calling off the scheduled show in Koln, revealing that all tickets will be refunded. They also add that it is their hope to eventually make it back to perform for fans in the German city.

It is not known how Moreno broke his foot, but the hope is that the singer is good to go for the remaining shows on the band's European tour. They're scheduled to play back-to-back nights at the Olympia in Paris on Tuesday and Wednesday (May 2 and 3), with five more dates in the U.K. and Ireland before the tour concludes.

After that, the band has the better part of a month off before starting their summer North American tour with Rise Against in Chicago on June 9. See all of their scheduled dates here. The group is touring in support of their 2016 album Gore.
