I will admit we haven't had much of a winter.  I say that in hopes that we won't have much of a winter.  I can handle cold, but I don't like it.  I don't like it at all.  I don't like driving on ice, I don't like having to get in a freezing car.  I don't like the obscene utility bills when winter rolls around.  I'm a Spring kind of gal. That's why on Thursday there's this little fella who will be popping out of a hole in the ground and that will let us know if winter is hanging around.

This little fella is named Punxsutawney Phil and he lives in a burrow called Gobbler's Knob, in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania.  Every year on February 2nd he climbs out of his burrow to let us know whether we have 6 more weeks of Winter or if Spring is coming early.

On Thursday, Phil will climb out of his home and if he sees his shadow, then get ready, winter is staying.

So 6:25am on Thursday morning, February 2nd, Phil may or may not see his shadow.  You can watch Phil here on Thursday.

Ugh!  That groundhog better not see a shadow.
