Earlier this month, Kings of Leon were involved in a bus accident that resulted in their drummer suffering severe injuries. Due to Nathan Followill's broken ribs, the band had to cancel a handful of shows while he recovered.

As he continues to heal, Followill tweeted some disappointing -- but understandable -- news to his fans:

Prior to this tweet, Kings of Leon canceled their shows up to Aug. 28. No specific details have been released as to when the band will return to the road. Whether or not they'll perform at the Made in America Festival in Philadelphia this weekend (Aug. 30-31) is still up-in-the-air.

Stay tuned for the latest information regarding both Followill's recovery and the future of Kings of Leon's 'Mechanical Bull' tour.
