Kings of Leon have canceled a handful of shows to give drummer Nathan Followill more time to recover from his injuries. Followill broke several ribs when the band's tour bus stopped suddenly to avoid hitting a pedestrian this past Sunday (Aug. 10).

Dr. Faiz Bhora ordered Followill to take a break from his drumming duties, saying in a statement, "To avoid complications and to make a full recovery, a break from performing to Aug. 28 is necessary." The band has canceled all of their shows until then. As of right now, the band plans to resume touring on Aug. 28 in Holmden, N.J.

Kings of Leon will still make their scheduled appearance on 'The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon' tonight. Roots drummer Questlove will fill in, so fans will at least get to see the band on television.

And if you're one of the unlucky fans who's missing out on seeing Kings of Leon live, here's a video to console you. We know it's not the same, but it's something.
