Is This Our First Look at Marvel’s ‘The Punisher’ Cast Poster?

Marvel’s Punisher spinoff is still something of a mystery; given an ambiguous 2017 release date around The Defenders, without any confirmation of episode order. At the very least, we may now have a look at the cast and key art, courtesy of a new Quesada-style poster.

Just as last week brought us an official look at Marvel artist Joe Quesada’s illustrated Defenders poster, so too has a new piece of artwork been sighted (h/t MCU Exchange) showing off the cast of The Punisher in similar style. Quesada drew the Defenders poster to celebrate their wrap on production, and Punisher was said to finish filming recently as well:

In addition to Jon Bernthal, Marvel’s Netflix Punisher includes among its cast Daredevil star Deborah Ann Woll reprising her role as Karen Page, Westworld alum Ben Barnes as Frank’s Special Forces friend (and future Jigsaw) Billy Russo, and Girls star Ebon Moss-Bachrach as “Micro,” described as “a former NSA analyst whose secrets may be of great value to Frank Castle and everyone around them.” Amber Rose Revah will also play Homeland Security agent Dinah Madani, while the support cast is outlined below:

Daniel Webber (“11.22.63”) has been cast as Lewis Walcott, a young veteran who has had a difficult time re-assimilating into Civilian Society.

Jason R. Moore (“A Lonely Place for Dying”) joins as Curtis Hoyle, a friend of Frank Castle’s and one of the few people who knows he is alive.

Paul Schulze (“Nurse Jackie”) will play Rawlins, a high-ranking member of the CIA whose operations in Afghanistan intersect with Frank Castle.

Jaime Ray Newman (“Bates Motel”) plays Sarah Lieberman, Micro’s wife (played by Ebon Moss-Bachrach) whose marriage has made her life far more complicated.

Michael Nathanson (“The Knick,” “Wolf of Wall Street”) has been cast as Sam Stein, a Homeland agent who is challenged by his partnership with Dinah (Amber Rose Revah).
