Nickelback have been one of the hardest touring bands of 2015 so far, but the group will not be completing their massive North American trek. The group canceled shows over the weekend as vocalist Chad Kroeger was running into some vocal issues and soon learned that the singer had an operable cyst that had developed on his voice box. As such, the singer will undergo surgery and the remainder of the North American tour has been called off so that he may recover.

“I am sorry I have to interrupt the party this summer and I am definitely not thrilled with the prospect of being silent for many weeks to come when I could be out there playing for our fans,” shared Chad. “I am relying on my doctor and his team to help get my voice back in good form as quickly as possible.” In addition, Nickelback's Ryan Peake and Mike Kroeger filmed a short video revealing the status of their trek in which they offer their apologies. The video can be seen above.

Kroeger is expected to undergo surgery three weeks from now and has been ordered to complete vocal rest from now up until when the surgery takes place. The singer's medical team anticipates a full recovery and the No Fixed Address tour is expected to resume with the band's Fall 2015 European run. Those dates begin on Sept. 30 in Finland. At present, Nickelback aren't expected to play more North American shows until 2016.

Ticket refunds for the 2015 No Fixed Address North American tour will be available at the point of purchase. For additional information, check the band's website.
