Full Frontal With Samantha Bee admits it went a little too far with a recent segment, and has apologized for likening a CPAC attendee's partially shaved-head — a sign of the man's cancer battle — to a haircut last enjoyed by the Hitler-devout.

On a recent episode that explored the Republican convention, Bee's team included a shot of Kyle Coddington, who's been fighting brain cancer for the past five months. The show —unwitting of Coddington's condition — called his hair "Nazi hair" and was immediately met by backlash on Twitter.

Upon notice of the mistake, the show removed Coddington from the segment (you can see it here) and issued an apology on Twitter.

"We deeply apologize for offending @_that_kyle in our CPAC segment. We only learned of his condition today & have removed him from the piece," the apology reads.

Yesterday (March 9), Coddington released a statement in which he chided the show for making a judgment without having done necessary research, and said Full Frontal has only "half-apologized."

"The effects of the comments made on Full Frontal go further than my battle with a serious illness," Coddington said, and added he's actually a registered Democrat. "Everyone in that video was targeted unjustly and profiled without facts or proof of the accusations made."

"I am not ashamed of my beliefs, and I am not ashamed of my illness," he added. "I am proud of who I am, and will continue to fight my battles."

Coddington did, however, thank Full Frontal for donating to his battle against cancer.
