I guess we all have come to a point in life that we can't trust anyone. I mean anyone. That is how the scammers try to get to you. Through people you know. Through people you care about.

That is how the new scam on Facebook is going after people. You see a new notification on your page. It might have already popped up on your wall. A friend of yours has tagged you and several people in their post.

The post is going for that attention. It includes a link. That link if clicked on can cause a lot of headaches for you. That is what the person who posted it has already discovered. Oh, because they had clicked on the link and kept it going.

The post you are tagged in is definitely an attention grabber:

I can't believe you're gone. I'm going to miss you. RIP.

That is not the only one.

He passed away a few minutes ago.

These have links that look like a valid link through Facebook but if you click on it you will be in for a non stop conversation with people who will tell you that you have been hacked. Even when you delete it off of your page it is still floating around.

I have been hit with several of these kind of posts. They are always from people that I know. Don't let that fool you. They just fell for one of these posts themselves.

What Can You Do If You Are Tagged in a Post Like This?

There are several things you can do. First, you want to make sure you never ever click on the link. You can report the post. You want to make sure you remove yourself from being tagged. Also, make sure you remove the post from your Facebook wall.

You don't want other's accidentally clicking on it. You also want to remove your name as far away from this hack as possible. Everyone needs to be extra careful out there. Don't go clicking away on anything. Think before you click.
