Dzhokhar Tsarnaev spoke in court Wednesday for the first time about the 2013 bombing at the Boston Marathon. “I would like to apologize to the victims and the survivors,” he said. “I did do it.”
Boston have undergone a lot of lineup changes over the course of the band's 37-year history, but their sound has always remained more or less the same, with very few concessions to current trends. As bandleader Tom Scholz revealed during a recent interview, that's at least partly because he doesn't even know what those current trends are.
In anticipation of ‘Life, Love & Hope,’ Boston have given a preview of things to come. The band has released the first single, ‘Heaven on Earth,’ which you can hear above.
The countdown to the next new batch of Boston recordings has begun in earnest, and although the Dec. 3 release date for the band's first new LP in 11 years might still feel pretty far away, at least we now have a record cover to look at while we wait.
Boston will reportedly release their first album since 2002 this fall. It's the sixth from the classic band, and the first to be released since singer Brad Delp committed suicide in 2007.
