Note: In order for a video to be considered for nomination in the 6th Annual Loudwire Music Awards, it had to be released between Oct. 31, 2015, and Oct. 21, 2016. No video which came out after Oct. 21 is eligible for the Best Rock Video in the 6th Annual Loudwire Music Awards, hence the reason you may not see a few major videos among the nominees. Those videos will be considered for nomination in next year’s awards.

A great rock song is a great rock song, but if done well, a music video can certainly enhance your enjoyment and understanding of a particular track. And with that we come to the Best Rock Video category in the 6th Annual Loudwire Music Awards.

It's quite the collection of clips we have this year, with bands like A Day to Remember and Shinedown using the video format to poke fun at themselves and the industry in their respective videos for "Naivety" and "Asking for It." And speaking of having fun, Puscifer skewered a certain political candidate in "The Arsonist" video, while Sum 41 took a humorous and dead-on shot at the intrusive bombardment of pop culture in "Fake My Own Death."

Music videos can also move you, as seen in the clips for Disturbed's "Sound of Silence" and Five Finger Death Punch's "I Apologize," or they can play with your perspective as Beartooth cleverly did with their "Aggressive" video. But most of all, the music video is an art form, and eye catching use of visual technology drives the stellar clips for Avatar's "For the Swarm," John 5 and the Creatures' "Making Monsters" and The Temperance Movement's "White Bear."

See all of the nominated videos below the poll at the bottom of this post, then make sure to vote for your favorite clips. You can vote once per hour through the deadline of Tuesday, Jan. 10 at 10AM ET, so make those votes for Best Rock Video count!
