What We Know About The First Bank Southwest Robbery

In case you missed it, earlier this morning (Tuesday, Oct. 18th) First Bank Southwest at 2401 S. Georgia St. was robbed.

Here is everything we know so far: The Amarillo Police Department was called around 9:45 a.m. with reports of a robbery taking place. The suspect is said to be a Caucasian male, heavy set and wearing jeans, a black cap and white sunglasses. He entered the bank and started demanding money from the front desk. He was holding something in his hand that reportedly appeared to be a gun.

Amarillo Police did confirmed that the robber did get a way with an undisclosed amount of cash. Thankfully, no one was injured and the First Bank Southwest staff followed proper protocol.
